From the CD Review - "20 Pieces for Solo Lute", on CatClàssics and Diari de Sabadell, 14.04.2018.
The discographic activity in Catalonia regularly brings new attractions that cover numerous genres and periods. In this sense, the contribution of labels such as La mà de Guido, Ars Harmonica and Columna Música positions them among the most active in Spain...
An example of this is to be found in the work carried out by the vihuelist and composer Joaquim Bogunyà edited by Ars Harmonica (AH251 DDD 42 minuts) in a magnificent attempt of a renaissance revival. It consists in a series of pieces with which he started working in 1997 and in a selection of 20 pieces that includes some fantasies (...), songs and dances for a solo instrument ( ... a vihuela or lute). On the whole, what we have here is a delightful CD ... (even though the) (...) notes only in English language do not relate any musical aspects of the works ... The instrument used by Bogunyà was built by the luthier Patrick Hopmans in 1998.
